Most people immigrating to Canada will be intending to work once they’re out there. In most cases you will need to find a job before applying for your visa (see the section on visas for more information). Canada has suffered a downturn in employment recently just like the rest of the world, however  Canada  is not yet  gone into recession. Whilst some  jobs are still down, there has been an upturn in the number of job vacancies being advertised.
